Privacy Policy — Speed Meter

BeliveAppTech (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application, Speed Meter (also known as Spedmtr) (“the App”), manages information when you use our service.

By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

1. Collection of Data

We believe in strong user privacy. The App is designed so that your trips, routes, preferences, and speed history remain under your control on your device.

We do not create user accounts and we do not collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as your name, email address, or phone number. We do not operate our own backend servers that store your trip history.

The App may process the following categories of data:

Location / GPS data: used on-device to calculate speed, heading, altitude, and to record trip routes when you start a trip (or when Auto Trip is enabled). This data is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to BeliveAppTech servers.
App preferences: units, themes, speed alert settings, and Pro entitlement flags, stored locally (for example via UserDefaults / SwiftData).
Non-personal technical data used by third-party SDKs to keep the free version running and to validate subscriptions (see Section 3), which may include device type, OS version, anonymous advertising identifiers (IDFA) subject to your consent, and crash/diagnostics data.

2. Location, Trips, and On-Device Features

Speed Meter is a GPS speedometer. Precise location access is required for core functionality.

When In Use: used to show live speed and to record trips while the App is in use.
Always (optional): requested only if you enable Auto Start / Stop trips, so movement can be detected while the App is in the background.
Trip history: distance, duration, max/average speed, route points, and related stats are stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device storage frameworks (SwiftData). You can delete all trip history from Settings at any time.
Live Activities / Dynamic Island: may display live trip/speed information on the Lock Screen while a trip is active. This content is generated locally by the system and the App.
Picture in Picture: may show a floating speed overlay while you use other apps. This feature runs locally on your device.
Siri / App Intents: if you use voice commands (for example to start/stop a trip or ask for current speed), Apple’s Siri and App Intents frameworks process the request. We do not sell this data. You can review Apple’s Siri settings on your device at any time.

We do not sell your location data. We do not use your trip routes for advertising targeting.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party service providers to deliver essential infrastructure. These parties only receive the data required to perform their functions:

Google AdMob: delivers advertisements in the free version of the App. AdMob may use advertising identifiers and similar signals for ad delivery and measurement, subject to your privacy choices. In applicable regions we present a consent form (UMP) and may request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission on iOS. Pro users do not see ads.
RevenueCat: manages subscription status and purchase receipt validation for Speed Meter Pro. It processes anonymous/transactional purchase tokens to verify entitlements.
Apple App Store / StoreKit: processes payments and manages subscriptions. Apple may process purchase-related information under Apple’s own privacy policy.

4. Local Storage

Trip history, GPS route points, selected themes, unit preferences, alert settings, and similar app data are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit, back up, or host your trip database on BeliveAppTech servers.

If you uninstall the App, locally stored data is removed according to iOS behavior.

5. Payments

We do not process, store, or have access to your credit card information, bank details, or billing statements. All premium subscription and purchase transactions are handled exclusively and securely by Apple Inc. through the App Store / StoreKit payment system. Subscription management and cancellation are available in your Apple ID subscription settings.

6. Advertising and Tracking Choices

The free version may show ads (for example app-open and interstitial ads). You can:

Manage consent / privacy options where required (for example GDPR/EEA) from the App’s privacy settings entry when available.
Control tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Upgrade to Speed Meter Pro to remove ads.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

8. Data Retention

Local trip and preference data remains on your device until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App. Third-party providers (Apple, Google, RevenueCat) retain data according to their own retention policies for payments, ads, and subscription validation.
